Having set up the basic information about your web site in your accounts panel, you then need to prepare the specially coded linkspage that makes your links exchange work for you and your new links partners.
First you'll need to ascertain from your webhost - if you do not already know - whether they support '.php' or '.asp' as 'Active Server Pages'.
Armed with this knowledge you then need to create a blank page, a page like the rest of your site, but - with a .php or .asp extension - instead of '.html'.
Return to your Control Panel for your Code Snippet and select PHP or ASP from the dropdown menu.
Copy ALL of the code from the lower box and insert it into your new links page, between the <body> and </body> tags.
Upload this page to your server, and make sure to place a link to it from your Home Page (-this should be fairly conspicuous, in order to assist us in the periodic checking of the whole system).
Basically this should work, as the page should look like any page on your site, - but if for any reason you want to adjust the 'look and feel' of it, then you can also get the formatting code from the Upper Box on the Code Snippet Page, which you'll need to insert before the </head> tag on your page, this will allow you to adjust links colour, font sizes, table-width etc of you links page to suit your individual requirements.
Do not forget that - in your own best interest - your Links page should link back to your homepage, like indeed any other page on your site, - as this will count towards your overall links popularity.
